My overall experience has been a very positive one. The grounds and outside area are always cleaned and maintained. Very safe environment. Fun events offered to the residents throughout the year. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Veronica, the property manager, is a gem! She is very attentive and cares about the residents and their pets in the village. Always willing to help! The only con is the parking.

Veronica and the office staff are always courteous, prompt and responsive to any requests I may have regarding my apartment or the complex. George and the entire maintenance staff have always made any necessary repairs or replacements in an extremely timely and efficient manner. Anything nice is worth repeating: I moved from a 4-bedroom home in beautiful Maplewood where I'd lived a happy, productive, and shared life with family and many housemates (mostly college students) for 53 years. My fiancée and I have lived at SHCV since 2021 and it is incredible! The apartments are updated, well lit, and spacious. The village itself is so well kept with beautiful landscaping and many grassy areas. There are also numerous designated spaces for dogs. The village is such a dog-friendly community - we meet a new fluffy friend almost every week while on our walks! I couldn’t be happier with the office staff and maintenance - whenever we have a question or something in our unit needs to be fixed, it is always met with care, time, and attention. The location is also great!
